New GB74JJ bass from Cort Guitars

Specs include J-style single-coil pickups, Swamp Ash body and clear pickguard.

Cort Guitars has added a new bass guitar featuring double jazz pickups to its GB line of instruments.

The GB74JJ features a Swamp Ash body – is one of the most popular and widely used woods for solid-body electric guitars and basses. It is lightweight but has a surprisingly strong, tight and punchy sound with emphasis on the high-midrange.

The Canadian hard Maple neck contributes to a warm, beefy and punchy tone with a strong upper midrange. Dense and rigid yet with just the right amount of tactile flexibility, it responds sensitively to your picking attack and slapping techniques with plenty of articulation and power.

The new Voiced Tone J-style single-coil pickups perfectly complement the big robust acoustic sound of the bass with modern clarity, transparency and vintage warmth.

Painstakingly developed by Cort’s engineers by drawing on decades of pickup winding experience, the Voiced Tone pickups feature the highest-grade components and winding techniques to allow the natural character of the guitar to be faithfully delivered to the amp.

Available in aqua blue, the new GB74JJ bass guitar has 2-band EQ with Passive-Active Push-Pull, chrome hardware and a clear pickguard.
