£1,500 Spector bass stolen from Rimmers Music Blackburn

Two thieves have stolen a Spector B4LX Euro 40th anniversary edition bass from retailer Rimmers Music.

Worth £1,500, the instrument was stolen on Friday 13th. One of the thieves managed to run away with the bass guitar whilst the other distracted the store manager during a busy lunchtime.

Both men are described as being Caucasian with short dark hair and around 5’8″ in height. Both were wearing dark black jumpers and tracksuit bottoms with stripes down the side, with one of the men also wearing a dark blue puffer jacket.

The bass stolen was a Spector Bass B4LX Euro 40th anniversary edition in red flamed maple with a black stripe down the centre, EMG pickups and a rosewood fingerboard with a ’40’ on the twelfth fret inlay.

On sale for £1,500 in the window as an Ex-Demo item, this distinctive bass guitar would have been worth £2,000 when brand new.

All local music stores and pawnbrokers have been informed, and Rimmers Music are confident that such a unique bass guitar will be hard to sell on and will easily come to the attention of the police investigation.
