Ashdown announces new Export Sales Manager and the return of Chris Bates

Ashdown Engineering has announced two new appointments to its team.

Lee Alexander has been names at the firm’s new export sales manager. He has been with Ashdown for more than a decade and is also an accomplished musician.

In his new role, Alexander will be working closely with Ashdown’s distributors and dealers beyond the UK. He brings with him a wealth of experience from both being “on the road“ in the UK and EU, as well as working with huge retail giants prior to working for Ashdown.

“My personal feeling is that we are tremendously under-priced and certainly undervalued in the market outside of the UK and I am confident that Lee will be addressing these points and ensure you receive the best sales and marketing support moving from us moving forward,” said Ashdown’s managing director Mark Gooday.

The close-knit team at Ashdown has also welcomed the return of Chris Bates.

Having worked with Gooday since he was 15, through the Trace Elliot days and through to Ashdown’s late teenage years, Bates knows a thing or two about the industry.

“Smooth as a babies bum, is Bates. He has missed us and we have missed him. We look forward to seeing Chris back on the road, getting back to business,” said Gooday.

Effective w/c 7th August 2017, Bates will be back on the road in the UK, armed with some cool new product offerings from Ashdown. His return marks a sentimental moment for Ashdown, having a long history of being very much a family business, with its design and manufacture firmly rooted in UK.
