Success for this year's Merseyside Guitar Show

The organisers of the Merseyside Guitar Show has hailed this year’s event a success with a sold-out exhibition space and increased visitor numbers.

“We had a great turnout for the Merseyside Guitar Show last Sunday at Aintree Racecourse Exhibition Centre, rounding off a very busy roster of shows in 2017 for Northern Guitar Shows Ltd,” said organisers Peter and Gail Hoarty.

“Exhibition space was totally sold out with more than 100 exhibitors filling every corner of the venue. Visitor numbers were again up on 2016 and lots of product was sold with some very attractive deals to be had for the Black Friday weekend and pre-Christmas blow out.

“It's encouraging to see the increasing number of luthiers and custom amp and pedal builders who now find our guitar shows an invaluable opportunity to showcase their work in the real world and the guitarists in attendance are grateful for the chance to get hands-on with some beautiful instruments.”

As well as the expo, the organisers say the live music hall was also a success, with was well received performances from the likes of Thomas Blug, Przemek Druzkowski, The Huers and James Roberts. Live sound was provided by Bose with their superb F1 system and drums were courtesy of the British Drum Co.

JHS provided the Vintage Thomas Blug Signature ICON model guitar for the free prize draw.

“It was great to see all a lot of new visitors and to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. Many thanks to everybody - visitors, exhibitors, performers, guitar show staff and venue staff.”
