Kicking off today (October 11th), Music China is back once again to give the MI industry a chance to meet with over 2,000 manufacturers and suppliers from all over the world.

As Asia Pacific's largest sourcing venue for the music industry, Music China offers an extensive range of instruments and accessories from traditional Chinese instruments to western orchestral, classical and rock gear – and this year promises to be an exciting one.

The exhibition, held in Shanghai – China's most cosmopolitan city – attracts thousands of musician, retailers, dealers, distributors and agents from China and the rest of the world.

As the primary sourcing show for the region, at Music China you can discover the latest products from the world's biggest and best-known music companies as well as networking for new business opportunities.

But with such a mammoth of a show, where do you start?

Luckily for you, MI Pro is here to lay out all of the important information about what’s happening at Music China 2017. And we’ve also rounded up some of the most exciting MI gear set to launch at this year’s show.


Music China 2017 runs from Wednesday 11th until Saturday 14th of October in  Shanghai’s New International Expo Centre, 2345 Longyang Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai 201204, PR China.

The Shanghai New International Expo Centre is located in the Pudong business district of Shanghai, just 50 minutes from the Pudong International airport.

There is a public traffic interchange for bus and metro named “Longyang Road Station”, located at Longyan Road. It takes about 10 min to walk from the station to fairground.

Exhibit hours for four days are as follows:

Weds 11th: 9:30 am - 5:00 pm – Trade only
Thurs 12th: 9:30 am - 5:00 pm – Trade only
Fri 13th: 9:30 am - 5:00 pm – Trade and Public
Sat 14th: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm – Trade and Public

Music China will be offering up integrated experiences for those looking to networking and expand their knowledge. There will also be a number of live shows and exhibitor events throughout the four-day show.

There will be a various educational and networking events including masterclasses on music education for kids, seminars on technology and innovation, and stringed and bowed instrument workshops.

Music China will also host a number of live music shows and activities, including drum circles, school-band competitions, and a ‘pCircle’ with Warwick Music Group’s popular pBone plastic trombones.

As well as all this, there will of course be a host of exhibitor events featuring stars and endorsers of the latest products, including guitarist Dough Aldrich, fingerstyle virtuoso Satoshi Gogo, and drummer Jost Nickel.
